This page examines the lower-level atmospheric conditions and wind field variations between ERA5 and JRA-55 during Typhoon Hinnamnor’s landfall on the Korean Peninsula. By comparing lower-level structures and storm-centered vertical cross-sections, we evaluate how discrepancies between the two datasets influence the assessment of the typhoon’s impact.
